InMe managed to impress the Nickelback audience with their passionate and energetic set. Which included songs such as Neptune as well as including the crowd favourite Crushed like Fruit. They also slipped in a couple of tracks from their forthcoming album (not yet named), which included Faster The Chase. InMe must have won a few more fans after tonights performance..
The stage was the set for Nickelback- once again playing in a small venue- it must be disheartening for the band to come down from playing arenas to playing club size venues..
The house lights went out in anticipation for the arrival of the masters of melodic rock. Over the PA system was the sound effects of an helicopter moving closer and dropping bombs- then after a huge pyrotechnic explosion the band were on stage blasting their way through the opening track Flat on The Floor. At times it was difficult to hear this song due to the screaming fans, who were just happy to be in the presence of their favourite rock idols..
This show was not that different from any of the other performances- no major surprises in the set list either- all the classics were included- Too Bad, Someday, Hero, and Im almost certain you can guess which track was saved for the encore thats correct How You Remind Me which no matter how many times you hear it- it always impresses the hell out of you..
So in short- Nickelback were predictable, however despite the predictability- they were entertaining to watch and played great music- what more could you ask for? If you want a goodnight out- then look no further than Nickelback. Still one of the most impressive live bands around today.
