Steel Pulse at Glastonbury Festival 2015
In May 2019, UK reggae legends Steel Pulse released their first new studio album in 15 years, 'Mass Manipulation', which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Reggae Chart. The Guardian said of their 12th studio album "[David Hinds'] songwriting and Bob Marleyesque vocals have lost none of their plaintively galvanizing qualities as he addresses social justice…The 17 songs are delivered with sincerity, passion and infectious positivity." They now bring their new headlining show to the UK for the first time in several years with 5 UK dates in April and May 2020 prior to travelling to Europe for more dates.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 22nd November, available from here.
The UK dates are:-
Thursday 30 April Manchester, O2 Ritz
Friday 1 May London, O2 Forum Kentish Town
Saturday 2 May Birmingham, O2 Institute
Sunday 3 May Bristol, O2 Academy
Tuesday 5 May Brighton, Concorde 2
Mass Manipulation, reflects four decades committed to bettering mankind through music. Steel Pulse continues to be revolutionary in engaging controversial topics of racial injustice and human rights on a global scale. Their musical stance and conceptualisations are as potent and relevant today as they were at the beginning of their career. The album's uniquely thematic approach provokes thought as it presses forward, toward humanities unification. A manipulation of our minds has been influenced by a New World Order currently dominating humankind. Steel Pulse reappears at a fated moment, armed with compassion, encouraging all people to reject false ideals, set higher goals, and demand more from themselves to further this unification.
