The Sherlocks

The Sherlocks are in town tonight celebrating their most recent tour. Tonight is part of their 32 date tour through February and March 2017.

A four piece band made up of two sets of brothers hailing from Sheffield who seem to be making the right kind of noises throughout the music world.

Following on from their sold out tour in September 2016, The Sherlocks are back in their own right, and rightly so, after a rather successful 2016 selling out the Sheffield Leadmill, and being the first unsigned band to do so, since Arctic Monkey’s and securing a support slot alongside the Libertines. With six singles under their belts, persistent touring over the last few years, and being mentored by Radio 6’s Steve Lamacq, only success could be predicted for this band. One of the ones to watch for 2017 for definite.

A high energy set, which got off to an incredible start and it didn’t stop there, the packed to the rafter’s venue were well up for it. It did remind me of early Arctic Monkey’s, sorry for saying that.

Pure quality. Contagious riffs and hooks permeated the air as ‘Heart Of Gold’, new single ‘Was It Really Worth It’? and ‘Live For the Moment’ sounded out.

The fans were what I expected, true fans, die-hards, well up for a party, and they loved every minute of the show, it’s no wonder the guys shows sell out their shows so quickly.

The Sherlocks were here to give their fans value for money and boy did they do that tonight.

The Sherlocks will be a mighty force to be reckoned with during 2017 I’m sure. With Angst and Ferociousness on stage what’s not to like about this band, if you’re a fan of Arctic Monkeys you’ll love these guys, do yourself a favour and go see them live. There’s still plenty of dates to partake in .
