The Wailers to tour 'Legend' in full

The Wailers will be performing their classic album 'Legend' in its entirety this autumn and will be coming to six venues across the country. For more than 50 years the reggae legends who formed in Kingston, Jamaica have been bringing reggae to the masses.

In September and October 2013, they will be bringing with them their highly celebrated and anticipated Legend tour, in which the band will perform the iconic album live on stage in its entirety. Legend was the twelfth album released by Bob Marley and the Wailers and the second posthumous one. It is the best-selling reggae album of all-time, with over 25 million copies sold globally. Some of songs which will be featured include 'Redemption Song', 'Three Little Birds', 'Waiting In Vain', 'I Shot The Sheriff', 'Jamming', 'Get Up, Stand Up', and 'Satisfy My Soul'.

Singer Bob Marley died in 1980 of cancer, however their songs with him remain and The Wailers have sold in excess of 250 million albums worldwide. In England alone, they've notched up over twenty chart hits, including seven Top 10 entries. Most recently the Stone Roses handpicked the Wailers to support them on their history making reunion shows at Heaton Park.

As the greatest living exponents of Jamaica's reggae tradition, the Wailers have completed innumerable other tours, playing to an estimated 24 million people across the globe. The anchor of the band is now Aston 'Family Man' Barrett, who in addition to being leading The Wailers has played on countless other classic reggae hits throughout the seventies.
