This summer sees the British Indian musician, producer and composer release his new album 'OneZero' which will be a retrospective of his past studio albums including a selection of brand new studio tracks, nineteen years after his 1994 debut 'Spirit Dance'.
'OneZero' will be a celebration of his ten solo albums since then, and this Roundhouse show will features work from nine retrospective albums and his forthcoming 'Dystopian Dream'. Sawhney and guests will be showcasing the highlights of a celebrated career spanning two decades of international touring, DJing, orchestral conducting, film scoring, recording and production.
The 'Breathing Light' singer is one of the most distinctive and versatile musical voices alive today. Firmly established as a world-class producer, songwriter, DJ, multi-instrumentalist, orchestral composer and cultural pioneer, Sawhney has become a latter-day Renaissance man in the worlds of music, film, videogames, dance and theatre.
Sawhneys' Recent film and TV scores include the BBC series 'The Human Planet', Deepa Mehta's adaption of Salman Rushdie's book 'Midnight's Children', Scott Free's production of 'Japan in a Day', Khyentse Norbu's 'Vara: A Blessing' and Hitchcock's silent movie 'The Lodger' which was performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.
