Soundgarden announce intimate Shepherds Bush Empire gig

Soundgarden fronted by singer and guitarist Chris Cornell are to return to London's 02 Shepherds Bush Empire, exactly 18 years since they became the first band ever to play at the iconic venue for an intimate live show on Friday 9th November.

The set will include the first ever UK performances of songs from their new album 'King Animal', their first studio album in over 15 years.

The legends of the Seattle alternative rock scene returned to UK this summer to headline Hard Rock Calling and perform at Download Festival.

They released their first retrospective album, 'Telephantasm', followed by their first live album, 'Live on I-5' before writing the end title song, 'Live to Rise', for the film The Avengers.

The new album marks the first collection of new songs by the band since the 1990s and is released on Monday 12th November.

Soundgarden tickets go on-sale 10am on Friday 26th October priced at £39.50 and eGigs will have links to buy them then.
