My Generation: Touched By The Hand Of Mod is an all nighter held to launch an annual event celebrating modernist music & culture. The My Generation team are hosting a permanent fixture in the weekender diary with a new, multi venue, multi genre wristbanded event in 2011 featuring bands, DJs, outdoor cinema, photographic exhibitions along with lots of other extras to be announced curated by Eddie Piller.
The all-nighter held on Saturday 25th September at the Concorde 2, Brighton will feature a line-up topped by Steve Cradock Band (Ocean Colour Scene), Mani (DJ Set), The Moons (Live), Andy Lewis, The Hipshaker DJs, Brighton's own Rob Luis, Eddie Piller, Dean Rudland, photographer Dean Chalkley, and Si Cheeba.
Saturday headiner Steve Cradock is a mod icon who spent his early days in Brum-beat revival bands until his crowning glory with Ocean Colour Scene. Last year he made his solo debut 'The Kundalini Target' and his position as Paul Weller's right hand man has lasted for 15 years. This is the Cradock's first public performance as a solo artist. Cradock has reformed his band with bassist Mani (Primal Scream/Stone Roses) who is both performing alongside and DJing later at the all-nighter.
