Florence and the Machine announces December live shows

With the biggest selling UK debut album of the year to date under her belt, Florence and the Machine announces a series of live shows to round off what has been a truly exceptional 2009.

Florence will be playing live on tonight's Mercury Music Award ceremony where her album 'Lungs' has been nominated. Florence's next single 'Drumming Song' is released this Sunday, 13th September. Her performance at Bestival this coming weekend marks the end of the festival season before she takes to the road for the first time at the end of September.

Her December tour sees her play at the following:

Wed 09 December 02 Academy, Glasgow
Thu 10 December Apollo, Manchester
Fri 11 December Engine Shed, Lincoln
Sun 13 December Brixton Academy, London
