Daniel Merriweather announces first UK headlining tour

Australian singer Daniel Merriweather has announced his first headlining UK tour in October.

Merriweather's critically album 'Love & War' debuted at No. 2 in the Official UK album chart and has gone on to sell over 180,000 copies, certifying it gold.

He first found fame in the UK when he sang on Mark Ronson's version of The Smith's classic 'Stop Me'. 'Red', the follow-up single to 'Change', was a top 3 airplay hit, entered the chart at No. 5 where it stayed for over four weeks and has now sold over 200,000 copies. Daniel's forthcoming single 'Impossible' is due for release on Monday 17th August.

His tour dates are as follows:

Sun 04 October O2 Academy, Oxford
Tue 06 October O2 Academy, Birmingham
Wed 07 October The ABC (ABC 1 & ABC 2), Glasgow
Fri 09 October Manchester University (Academy 1, 2, 3 & 4), Manchester
Sat 10 October O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London
