NME new music editor Jaimie Hodgson said, "With a line-up like this it was impossible to resist putting the NME Radar Tour out for the second time this year. It proves that 2009 is a truly ridiculous year for great music. The opportunity to see the best from the UK and the hottest new music coming out of the US all on the same bill is going to make this an amazing gig for music fans."
Golden Silvers' Gwilym Gold is quoted as saying of this year's line-up, "It's got that element of old school rock'n'roll about it...like Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis when they used to tour together. And everyone's waiting to find out who's going to kill it on the night!"
He added: "I hope it's gonna be quite social. I've heard a bit of Local Natives and they're almost a harmony band, aren't they? We do a lot of harmonies too, so maybe we should harmonise together?"
