Nineties indie heroes Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine have announced plans to play their first four albums in full and in track order at two speical London shows called 'Early Drum Machine Years' later this year.

Starting at the HMV Forum in Kentish Town on Friday 13th November, the duo will play '1992: The Love Album' and 'Post Historic Monsters' in their entirety on the first leg of their double-header.

The following night at the Brixton O2 Academy, Jim Bob & Fruitbat will play their debut album '101 Damnations' and '30 Something'.

In a statement singer Jim 'Jim Bob' Morrison said, "Performing our first four albums in full, first track to last is something we've never done. We might even chuck in a cheeky Take That-style costume change."

Guitarist Les 'Fruitbat' Carter, added, "We will be playing songs that we have never played live before and I am really looking forward to that challenge."

The band who made their name with a distinctive style of power pop, fusing samples, sequenced basses and drum machines with rock 'n' roll guitars and off-beat wordplay-loaded lyrics first split in 1998, before reuniting in 2007 and 2008 for a number of reunion gigs.

Tickets for the Early Drum Machine Years double header go on sale at 9am this Friday, 13th February, and eGigs will have links for you to buy them then.
