reunion tour planned for Jackson 5 with Michael

2009 will see another big tour

news: Thursday 30th October 2008

Just when you thought all the big summer tours had been announced, news of another one has been announced. Michael Jackson and the other members of the Jackson 5 are planning a tour together next year.

Jermaine Jackson, who we last saw on TV show, 'I'm A Celebrity' also confirmed that the tour would include their sister, Janet Jackson, as a support act.

At a press conference, Jermaine, announced the news saying, "And of course, the original Jackson 5... Michael, Randy and the whole family... we're in the studio, we're planning on being out there next year."

Despite him also giving hints over the years of a full scale reunion it would appear that this time, the tour will take place, Jermaine added, "This has been a long time coming for the Jackson family to get back together."

The Jacksons, featuring Tito, Marlon, Jackie, Jermaine, Michael and Randy found fame in the 1970s with hits such as 'I Want You Back', 'ABC' and Shake Your Body', last performed together at a concert in 2001 to celebrate Michael Jackson's 30 years in music.

If the tour does come to fruition this has to be one of the biggest reunion tours ever staged. There's no confirmation on ticket prices, venues, or dates as yet. eGigs will keep you posted when more information is released.
