eGigs is running a competition offering one of our readers the chance to win a pair of tickets to see Arrows of Love at the Scala on Tuesday 14th October, just answer the simple question at the end of this page.
The fledgling band aim to "remain outside the realms of myspace and facebook, keeping a creative focus, and our music only live for the moment."
Arrows of Love's first live outing was at the Secret Garden Party at the end of July; Drummer Wim joined a week later to complete the line-up. They have subsequently headlined the 93 Feet East leg of the Brick Lane Festival on 14th September and supported The Young Republic at the prestigious 100 Club a couple of days later.
The band have woven a few Hush the Many songs in to their set and retained the soaring cello, but the overall sound created is fuller with the addition of keys and harder, faster guitars. An amazing cover of 'In the Year 2525' was also thrown into the mix at the 100 Club - its apocalyptic vision well suited to the edgy guitars and distinctive vocals.
Arrows of Love's showcase at the London Scala in Kings Cross on Tuesday 14th October promises to be an exciting evening, especially as the main support will be Ed Harcourt's side project Wild Boar. Ed Harcourt, mostly known as a 'singer-songwriter type', unleashes his dark side in this raucous, growly guitar band. There will also be sets from Beans on Toast, and The Eraserheads.

Look out for a review of the evening coming soon to eGigs.
The winner of the competition was Kat Rogers, congratulations Kat.
