Oasis postpone the appearance at the Eden Project

as doctors advise Noel to rest after his attack

news: Wednesday 24th September 2008

Oasis have announced they have had to cancel their forthcoming appearance at the Eden Project, Cornwall as a result of injuries sustained to Noel Gallagher when he was attacked on stage in Canada.

The Oasis guitarist was attacked on stage at the Toronto Virgin Festival falling hard onto a monitor speaker after a man rushed the stage and pushed him from behind during the band's performance on Tuesday 7th September.

The Eden gig was due to take place this coming Saturday (27th September) however a CT scan has revealed that the guitarist "suffered three broken and dislodged ribs" in the attack, and Noel has been urged by doctors to rest for at least another week. The show will now be rescheduled for a later date.

Anyone who bought tickets for the gig are advised to hang onto their tickets and keep checking for details of the rescheduled show, eGigs will bring you more news once we have it. It's believed that Oasis' October tour will be unaffected.
