Queen and Paul Rodgers tour dates

tickets on sale Saturday

news: Tuesday 1st April 2008

One of the greatest rock bands of all time, are to return to the road again with a new vocalist Paul Rodgers. Queen formed in 1968, and went on to become one of this country's biggest successes. The Beatles are the only act who have spent more time in the UK charts.

The band split after the death of their iconic singer Freddie Mercury, and it was only in 2004 that the decision was made to play live as a group again. Paul Rogers' vocal strength and experience with other legendary acts (Free, Bad Company) means that Queen can recapture the excitement of their original shows.

The tour dates are as follows:
Fri 10 Oct Ice Arena Nottingham, Nottingham
Sat 11 Oct SECC, Glasgow
Mon 13 Oct The O2 Arena, London
Tue 14 Oct Cardiff International Arena (CIA), Cardiff
Thu 16 Oct National Indoor Arena (NIA), Birmingham
Sat 18 Oct Liverpool Echo Arena, Liverpool

The tour will coincide with the band's first new studio album since 1995. The new, as yet untitled album, will be released on September 1st.

Tickets will be available from 9:00am Saturday 5th April and eGigs will have ticket links for you to buy tickets.
