Led Zeppelin bassist talks tour

but don't hold your breath

news: Friday 11th January 2008

The members of Led Zeppelin are set to get back together this month to discuss their possible touring plans.

It's been a constant rumour that the band, who played their reunion show on December 10 last year at London’s O2 Arena, are to play further live dates this year.

Talking of the gig to Rolling Stone magazine, the band's bassist John Paul Jones praised the drummer Jason Bonham, who replaced the original band member his father John. "He did an amazing job when you consider he had to answer to every drummer in the world after that show. With that sort of pressure, to bring all that off was amazing." said John.

Importantly for fans, the bass player also hinted the band were set to get back together, if only for a chat. Jones revealed, "There is a band meeting in January. It could be fun to do more stuff."

Those desperate to see the band, however, are advised not to expect a definite tour being announced.

As Jones, when asked if the meeting would result in a tour, answered, "Well, that doesn't look like it's going to happen. I don't know honestly. We have to talk about it."
