Coldplay apologise for high ticket prices

news: Sunday 25th February 2007

Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin, known for his relentless equality campaigning, has apologised for embarrasing ticket prices for their live shows in South America.

The singer claimed that the band had been ignorant over ticket prices, which had reportedly reached up to $160 in Chile.

Martin apologised to fans, saying that “We just found out how expensive they are and would like to say we are sorry. We didn't know beforehand.

"The price is a little embarrassing. When you are a famous band, a lot of things happen that you don't know about."
