shambles, shambles, shambles

guess what?

news: Friday 14th October 2005

Guess what? The world's most cancelled band are at it again.

They've just pulled the last three dates of the tour - tonight in Norwich (which itself was a re-scheduled date from 2nd Oct), tomorrow at Coventry Colosseum, and Sunday at London's Koko.

Officially, the cancellations are due to "a very heavy touring schedule, and the constant pressure and continued harassment from outside sources".

If the touring is so heavy, perhaps the answer is to tour less, but actually turn up when there's a date arranged? But we're sure that anyone who puts in a full week's work is thinking 'wimps' anyway.

As for "the constant pressure and continued harassment from outside sources", perhaps they'd be less pressure if Pete & pals weren't selling the tabloids some filler every day, and the harassment would go away as well?

It's hard to feel sorry for a band that brings it all on themselves, and although there's bound to still be plenty of willing mug-punters, there's also likely to be a number who dislike being treated like shite to help maintain Pete's media-junkyism, and at a price that many more successful bands would be ashamed to charge.

Refunds for ticketholders are available from the point of purchase - it seems there's no plans to re-schedule these dates.
