Bare in mind that I had not even heard their first album, funnily enough entitled The Music, although I do remember that the front cover had a circle full of multiple colours. However I heard their second album entitled Welcome to the North which was certainly an impressive album to say the least, however would these northern lads be able to deliver the goods live?
Rob Harvey (vocalist) and the rest of the band arrived on stage to a tumour inducing deafening applause from the crowd. Opening with The Dance, it quickly became apparent that The Music are one of those bands that put 110% into their live performance and their energy and passion was just pouring out.
After opening with a track from their old album they immediately kicked into the title track from their new album Welcome To The North. Rob was bouncing around the stage like a madman, you could never be sure of what hed do next.
The Music kept the supersonic mach 3 pace up throughout the entire set, never relaxing or slowing the pace down, this was music being played how it should be played, fast, uninterrupted, and with shit loads of passion. These guys believe fully in the music they are playing and that in itself is a rarity.
The Music are certainly one of the best up and coming live bands on the circuit, and whilst they are playing with such enthusiasm, they are one of those bands that you can go to watch night after night and never get bored.
Absolutely fantastic!!!
